[ Guide ] Genshin Impact Battlefront: Misty Dungeon Overview and Tips

The Battlefront: Misty Dungeon is now open in Genshin Impact, so here’s a quick and easy guide to blast through the challenges with characters you may or may not have.

STARTING THE EVENT

Simply go to the Events tab and it’ll be there waiting for you.

TRIAL CHARACTERS

Remember that characters will default at C0 if you do not have them, while characters you do have will have any constellations you do, e.g. I do not have Keqing and therefore have her at C0, but my Trial Noelle will be at C6 because I have a C6 Noelle.

MANEUVERING THE MAZE

You will need to activate runes to access the Final Challenge. Look upwards to see the red lights to orientate yourself and find the direction of the rune you need to activate. You’re given a base time of 15 minutes to clear the trials.

There will be additional trials along the way to provide passive boosts. You can also come across orbs for varying effects depending on its colour and symbol.

• Rejuvenation: Revives all characters and restores 100% HP
• Plunder: ATK increase by 50%
• Godspeed: Movement SPD increase by 20%
• Everlasting: Extend challenge time remaining by 300 seconds

Automated turrets. Only becomes active when you’re nearby.

PLUNGING TRIAL

In this trial, the disorders are:

• When Plunging Attacks hit opponents, each opponent hit will increase the ATK of all characters in your own party by 6% for 30s. A maximum of 60% ATK can be gained this way.
• All party members’ Plunging Attack DMG increased by 120%.

Recommended characters:

• Keqing: Her Elemental Skill can be aimed upwards, to give her height for plunging
• Albedo: His Elemental Skill can be used to both elevate you and deal on field damage

You will find Anemo Ambers around the trial areas that will create temporary wind currents.

Enemies: Blazing Axe Mitachurl, Hilichurl

Enemies: Pyro Slime, Geo Slime, Electro Cicin Mage

Enemies: Treasure Hoarders

Final Challenge Enemies: Treasure Hoarders, Electro Cicin Mage, Pyro Fatui Agent

HEALING TRIAL

In this trial, the disorders are:

• When active character’s HP is greater than 90%, DMG dealt is increased by 50%.
• When an active character regenerates HP, they will regenerate 3 Energy for all characters in your own party. This effect can be triggered once every 1.5s.

Recommended characters:

• Mona: Her Elemental Burst will boost damage even further. Her Elemental Skill will also attract enemy attacks so that you can take less damage.
• Noelle: Her Elemental Skill provides a shield for you to avoid damage, while also healing when she’s on the field.

The trial areas will have a turret that you can deactivate if you have the right element, but they’re often far away enough it shouldn’t matter.

Enemies: Pyroslinger Bracer, Anemoboxer Vanguard, Geochanter Bracer

Enemies: Blazing Axe Mitachurl (with Aura), Cyro Hilichurl Archers

Enemy: Cyro Geovishap

Final Challenge enemies: Blazing Axe Mitachurl, Pyro Abyss Mage (with Aura)

MELEE TRIAL

In this trial, the disorders are:

• If the character wields a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, Normal and Charged Attacks deal 75% increased DMG.
• If the character wields a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, Normal and Charged Attacks will unleash shockwaves when they hit opponents, dealing AOE DMG. These shockwaves can be triggered in this manner every 2.

Recommended characters:

• Pretty much any melee character will do. Since Keqing is available to you, there’s no reason not to use her as your primary DPS.

Enemies: Hydrogunner Legionnaire, Geochanter Bracer

Enemies: Pyro Abyss Mage, Shielded Mitachurl

Enemies: Cyro and Pyro Hilichurl Archers, Pyro Fatui Agent

Final Challenge enemies: Geo-shielded Mitachurl, Stonehide Lawachurl

RANGED TRIAL

In this trial, the disorders are:

• When there are no opponents around your current character, the DMG dealt by all your characters in your party is increased by 75%.
• When there are no opponents around your current character, Movement SPD is increased by 20%, and Sprinting and Alternative Sprint Stamina consumption is reduced by 50%.

Recommended characters:

• Amber: Charged Shots will help break weak points, and Baron Bunny can attract some attention for a time.
• Mona: Especially handy in conjunction with Amber, due to proccing high damage Vaporise. Her Elemental Skill also draws aggro.
• Sucrose: For the extra crowd control.

Enemy: Hydro Geovishap

Enemies: Treasure Hoarders

Enemies: Blazing Axe Mitachurl, Pyro Fatui Agent

Final Challenge enemy: Ruin Grader

SHIELD TRIAL

In this trial, the disorders are:

• While protected by a shield, the DMG dealt by characters is increased by 50%.
• When a character obtains an Elemental Shard created from a Geo Reaction, they will unleash a shockwave that deals DMG to opponents in an AOE. A shockwave can be triggered this way once every 1s.

Recommended characters:

• Albedo, Noelle: For Crystallize shields. Noelle herself can provide her shield

Enemies: Pyro and Cyro Abyss Mage

Enemies: 2 x Blazing Axe Mitachurl

Enemy: Pyro Geovishap

Final Challenge enemies: Stonehide Lawachurl, Geovishap Hatchling

ELEMENTAL TRIAL

In this trial, the disorders are:

• All party members’ Elemental Mastery is increased by 300.
• When a character triggers an Elemental Reaction on a nearby opponent, it will trigger a shockwave at that opponent’s position that deals DMG. A shockwave can be triggered this way once every 1s.

Recommended characters:

• Amber: There are thorns to be cleared by Pyro, and Amber can do it at a safe distance
• Mona, Barbara: Disable the fire traps for easy Trial Quest clears
• Keqing, Albedo: Use their Elemental Skills to bypass the thorns

For the purposes of this guide, you can’t utilize the Battlefront: Misty Dungeon traps to destroy the obstacles for you, dang you Genshin.

The Battlefront: Misty Dungeon trials aren’t really that hard as you get to play around with characters you probably don’t have on your Genshin account, so this guide is mostly for reference. Enjoy kicking ass!
