NextNinja and Good Smile Company have confirmed that Touhou Lost Word will launch globally for the Android and iOS platforms on 11 May 2021.  First making its debut in Japan in April 2020, Touhou Lost Word is an action shooter that will see players stumbling upon and solving the mystery that have been affecting the world of Gensokyo.

The game boasts signature characters who need no introduction, and in battles, players can pick between hammer shots for more powerful attacks or wide shots for more enhancement points. As is the norm in the franchise, you can unleashed special abilities through the use of spell cards and erect barriers to mitigate enemy attacks.

As previously reported, the official website was updated with a brief look at its gameplay, while the official Twitter has also been active in promoting a variety of teasers for music and characters. It would seem that for the global release of Touhou Lost Word, it will have the quality of life updates the Japanese version has received since March 2021, which sounds like excellent news. In any case, pre-registrations remain open until whenever the launch happens, so get to grabbing all those goodies. For reference, one pull will require 5 Seal Crystals and 1,500 Coins. To get everyone started, rewards will be issued out to all players, as the game achieved 250,000 pre-registrations.
