Mahjong Soul Kakegurui Collaboration Release Date Announced

Yostar Games have announced the Mahjong Soul Kakegurui collaboration release date, as well as new costumes for the collaboration characters.

The Mahjong Soul Kakegurui collaboration starts 22nd April, running until May 13th.

The event will feature four characters from Kakegurui XX, the second season of the gambling anime added as promotional characters. These are series protagonist Yumeko Jabami, Mary Saotome, Kirari Momobami and Midari Ikishima.

In addition to having their regular outfits, each of the characters will also receive an additional alternate costume. Aside from Yumeko’s costume which is from the anime’s first season, the other three are entirely new.

Kakegurui is an intense gambling anime, set in a school where gambling is a way of climbing the social hierarchy. Yumeko Jabami arrives one day, challenging all the school’s top gamblers for seemingly no reason other than a pure love for the sport. These range from relatively simple games like Indian Poker to deadly games like Russian Roulette.

The series is available on Netflix, along with its second season, Kakegurui XX. In addition, a live-action drama of the anime was also produced, which is also available for viewing on Netflix.

The series’ creator has also gone on to work on a new project, titled Build Divide.
