The upcoming mobile game Octopath Traveler : Champions of the Continent got a new trailer today, showcasing part of the game’s main story. This trailer focuses on Helminia, The Witch of Greed.

The trailer, The One Who Attained Wealth, focuses on Helminia. It also features heavy voiceover by the character, voiced by Atsuko Tanaka.

It’s a pretty good glimpse into the Helminia story for the game, as you get to see most of the major plot points. We also get a sneak peak into the fight against Helminia herself. One of her servants joins her for the fight.

Helminia is far from the only threat in Champions of the Continent, however. The game has three main villains, embodying Wealth, Power and Fame.

The full game comes out October 28th, so its not unlikely we’ll see similar story previews for the other two villains as well.

Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is a prequel to the Switch RPG Octopath Traveler. Despite being a mobile game, it features a similar graphical style to its Switch counterpart. It has iconic elements of the game, such as pixel-art enemies overlaid on a 3d background, with realistic lighting and bloom effects.

The game was previously delayed, with its release left in limbo. This changed recently when the game got a new release date, the 28th of October. For now, it is releasing in Japan only on Android and iOS devices. No confirmation has come in on an English release.
