ASUS Republic of Gamers announced today a partnership with ACRONYM®. The special edition laptop is a Zephyrus G14, will be available in October 2020.
ACRONYM® says that they brought their own unique design philosophy to the design of the special edition Zephyrus G14.
“We try to break the expected relationship with a product to make the user feel more aware of the product as
a tool, and make them more active and engaged with it. It’s too easy to become complacent toward the
technology we use and let into our lives, and that can make us passive recipients of information, and thus
less creative and less empowered.” says Errolson Hugh, co-founder of ACRONYM®.
The Most Powerful 14-Inch Gaming Laptop
According to ROG, the Zephyrus G14 aims to be the most powerful 14-inch gaming laptop on the market. ROG says they plan to do this by making sure the laptop uses incredibly powerful components.
“On a pure component level, the Zephyrus G14 boasts a punchy 8-core 16-thread AMD® Ryzen™ 9 CPU and a potent NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX™ 2060 GPU, which gives it the power for content creation, like editing videos or streaming, and lets it blaze through tons of modern titles. It also features a slick IPS-level display that is Pantone® Validated for color accuracy and boasts Adaptive Sync variable refresh rate technology for ultra-smooth gaming” says ROG.
Despite the laptop’s power, ROG doesn’t want it to be a brick. It uses a magnesium alloy deck, along with an aluminum lid to keep the laptop as light as it is functional.
ACRONYM’s Unique Touch
While ROG handles the mechanics of the laptop, ACRONYM® made sure to add their own unique touch to it. According to them, designing a good user experience was essential for the laptop.
