The PvP-centric Shadow Arena is getting a new character named Sura. With his agressive playstyle, he’s sure to shake up the state of the game.
Sura is a dexterous and aggressive ninja who compensates for his lack of defense withsheer attack power and cunning combat techniques. He uses his Sura Katanas and Kunaiweapons, deadly throwing blades, to take enemies by surprise. He has 5 skills to choosefrom including his inherent skill “Sixth Blade: Free-Form.”

His aggressive playstyle has earned him a 5-star difficulty ranking, according to Pearl Abyss. He’s a solid glass cannon, with fast-paced aggressive attacks. With Sura, offence really is the best defense as he regains HP on hit. If nothing else, even non-Shura players will need to start to adjust their game plans. Shadow Arena is also getting a Weekly Tryout format for its Regional Cup. The tryouts will be held for 3 weeks, starting September 7th. It’s an open tryout, so there are no level restrictions.
Additionally, placing in the top 5 will guarantee prizes. 1st Prize, however, will receive 500,000 KRW and will advance to the Regional Club Finals.
The Weekly Tryout will be live-streamed on Twitch, Youtube, AfreecaTV and DouyuTV.
