Pearl Abyss announces its hero action battle royale game, Shadow Arena, is now available on Steam Early Access. After multiple global beta tests, Shadow Arena will continue to improve its gameplay experience accordingly to user feedback.
Shadow Arena is based on the Black Desert universe, pitting players against each other in a massive battlefield where they must utilize powerful magic and weapons to survive the fights until the very end. Defeat fearsome monsters to collect valuable items to gain the advantage to be the last hero standing.
10 Heroes will be playable from today, with Venslar the newest addition to the roster. Venslar brings a brand new combat style to the battlefield, with a kid balanced with both offensive and defensive skills. This Hero will allow players to experience more strategic gameplay by deciding which mode they want to be in.
The Shadow Arena Early Access period already sees new features and content:
- Multiple difficulty levels have been added to AI matches to be suit player skills
- Each Hero has Ultimate Skill levels to make one skill more powerful than the others
- In-game areas now have different characteristics in monster types and levels
Hero skins are also purchasable to change their appearances. Heroes can also be purchased, and you can further personalize them with new in-game emotes. Daily Quests, Challenges, the Ancient Weapon Puturum and Suspicious Cauldron will help players who want to level their Heroes.
“Shadow Arena is a standalone game that lets our fans experience the Black Desert universe like never before.”
“During the Early Access period, we’ll continue to listen closely to player feedback and perfect the game for our official launch.”
Kwang Sam Kim, the lead producer of Shadow Arena
