Cygames just launched a new brand, CygamesEdge, which focuses on developing and supporting innovative small-to-mid-sized games. It debuts its first game, Where the Seeds Fall, on November 5, 2026, for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

CygamesEdge shared its tagline “Stay on the edge” on its website. Furthermore, it cites its three core values as speed and agility, innovation and technology, and creativity and reach.

The brand plans to work with external developers and creators as well, providing support ranging from planning and development to publishing and global distribution. According to them, they want to work with teams that have “the drive to bring groundbreaking experiences to players everywhere. 

Cygames’ new team debuts with Where the Seeds Fall, a collaboration with the studio ZEREO Inc. Its reveal trailer left gamers with sweaty palms, with its breathtaking, risky vertical world.

Where the Seeds Fall is set in a world where the Earth has been corrupted by the Blight. The incident forced humanity to flee into the branches of a massive World Tree. In this alternate reality, players take control of a lone soldier who encounters a mysterious “Fell Child” who resembles his deceased daughter.

At this point in humanity, Fell Children are considered omens of disasters. Despite that, the protagonist escorts the child toward the surface.

Gameplay-wise, Where the Seeds Fall features a strong focus on platforming, as the protagonist navigates the dangerous branches of the World Tree. Moreover, it goes beyond simple platforming, requiring players to carefully time their jumps, account for the wind, and judge their footing.
