Gacha mechanics can make or break a game’s reputation before it even launches, and Silver Palace is now finding that out firsthand. When the upcoming open-world gacha RPG opened up its second Closed Beta session, players got their first real look at the game’s gacha system, referred to in-game as Revelations. It didn’t take long for the community to start debating whether the setup leans too grindy or if it’s actually fair by genre standards. Some players are worried the system could get too demanding for free-to-play users, while others say it’s not too different from what other gacha games already offer. Since this is still beta territory, we decided to break down exactly how the system works so players can judge for themselves. As of this version, both characters and Motives (the game’s term for weapons) each come with just one Featured banner and one Standard banner.
How the Currency and Pull Costs Work
Every pull in Silver Palace runs on a currency called Reactor Crystal, and the cost is the same no matter which banner you’re pulling from. A single pull costs 360 Reactor Crystals, while a 10-pull costs 3,600. There are four types of pull tickets depending on what you’re going for: Judgement Shot for featured characters, Deduction Shot for featured Motives, Standard Shot for standard characters, and Bullet of Insight for standard Motives. On top of whatever you pull, every single pull also gives you 8 Mind Grains, regardless of what rarity you end up getting.

Character Gacha
The current featured character banner centers on Cinderella, and the base rate for pulling a 5-star character sits at 0.8%, going up to an overall rate of 1.8% once pity is factored in. Every 10 pulls guarantees at least one 4-star character, and every 100 pulls guarantees the featured 5-star. As for 4-stars, the base rate is 6%, with an overall rate of 13%. There’s a 50% chance that any 4-star you pull is from the featured list, and you’re guaranteed a featured 4-star by your 20th pull at the latest. The remaining 3-star rarity is made up entirely of Motives, which have the highest base rate of all at 93.2%, spread evenly across the available options.

Pulling a duplicate 5-star character isn’t a total loss either. You’ll get a resource called Trait, which boosts that character’s power potential, plus a bonus of 20 Mind Shards. Once a character hits full potential, meaning you’ve collected the 7th duplicate or beyond, that Mind Shard bonus jumps up to 50. Duplicate 4-star characters work the same way, just at smaller numbers, starting at 4 Mind Shards and capping out at 10 after the 7th duplicate.
The Standard character banner runs on the same pity system as the Featured one, so there’s no real difference in how the rates or guarantees function. The one thing missing here is any kind of bonus selector, which some other gacha games offer on their standard banners but Silver Palace currently does not.
Motive/Weapon Gacha
The featured Motive banner is currently running “Her Heart, the Flames Within,” and the rates mirror the character banner exactly, with 5-stars sitting at a 0.8% base rate and 1.8% overall. Where this banner stands out is the pity requirement. Every 10 pulls guarantees a 4-star Motive, and every 80 pulls guarantees the featured 5-star, which is a full 20 pulls shorter than what it takes on the character side. Players also have the option to pull single or in batches of 10, so there’s no need to wait until you’ve saved up exactly enough for a full 10-pull. Getting a duplicate 5-star Motive nets you 20 Mind Shards, while a duplicate 4-star gives you 4.
Just like its character counterpart, the Standard Motive banner uses the same pity mechanics as its Featured version, so there’s nothing new to explain here either.

What You Can Do With Mind Shards and Mind Grains
Both of these resources can be earned through duplicates and reveal bonuses, but they can also be exchanged directly through the game’s Exchange Shop. Mind Shards have no restock limit, and 12 of them can be traded for one pull in the matching category, while 90 can get you a 4-star Motive of your choice, capped at two per type. Mind Grains work a bit differently since they come with a monthly restock limit. Every pull type has 5 trade slots that refresh each month, and since Mind Grains are earned from every pull at a rate of 8 each, they build up steadily.

That said, players can only convert a limited number into extra pulls each month because of the slot cap. This system means that duplicates or high-rarity pulls aren’t wasted, since they can be converted into more pulls or used to grab specific 4-star Motives. Mind Shards can be exchanged anytime without restriction, while Mind Grains are capped at those 5 monthly slots per pull type to prevent players from farming pulls in bulk.
One detail worth highlighting is that pity progress in Silver Palace carries over across Featured banner rotations. Pity only resets once you actually land the featured 5-star character or Motive. So as long as your target stays available in future Featured banners, none of your previous pulls toward that pity count go to waste.
What’s Still Unclear
Since this is only the second beta, there are still a few things that can’t be answered yet. It’s not clear how easy or difficult it will be to earn Reactor Crystals on a daily or weekly basis long-term, and the developers themselves have said this part is still subject to change. So far, no major complaints have surfaced from beta players about the gacha system, and the developers haven’t made any official statements about possible changes ahead of launch. Silver Palace is still in development for Android, iOS, and PC, and no release date has been confirmed yet. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more details once the Third Beta goes live or if the developers share any updates.
