Kogado Studio has announced Neosphere of The Deep-blue Sky: Legacy, a remastered version of its city building simulation game. This marks the second remaster in the Aoi series, following Tristia: Legacy. The game will launch on Switch and PC through Steam and Windows in spring 2027 in Japan. It will support English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options.
Neosphere of The Deep-blue Sky originally launched for PC in Japan back in 2005 before later being ported to PlayStation 2 and PSP. Although the original games in the series were released on PlayStation platforms, no PlayStation version of this remaster has been announced. In this remaster, the setting moves away from Tristia’s seaside city to a new location called Neosphere, described as a “sky kingdom.” Players join a novice inventor named Nanoca Flanca, working through a series of unusual inventions as they help rebuild the kingdom.
According to Kogado Studio, the remaster keeps the original game’s world and characters intact while updating the visuals and adjusting the game’s systems to better fit modern play. With this announcement, players who enjoyed the original release now have a set release window to look forward to, as Neosphere of The Deep-blue Sky: Legacy joins Tristia: Legacy in bringing the Aoi series to current platforms.
