Malaysian indie studio Kurechii shared fresh gameplay footage and development updates for two of its upcoming games during its annual Kurechii Next digital showcase. The show also gave fans a look at what’s new with Prism Arcana, the studio’s ongoing worldbuilding project that ties its games together.
The biggest highlight for Postknight World was a new day and night cycle, which changes the mood and feel of the game’s world as players explore it. Since the game was first revealed during Kurechii Next 2025, the development team has kept working on its systems, animations, visuals, and overall world design to make the experience feel more alive. Postknight World is a cozy 2D open-world RPG that builds on the foundation laid by Postknight and Postknight 2, focusing on relaxed exploration rather than fast-paced action. Lead QA Engineer Hian said the game was designed as a place where players “can just slow down, take a bit of time to rest, and be immersed in the world.” Postknight World is currently aiming for Alpha Testing in late 2026.

The showcase also featured Abyssfall: Seekers Within, which marks Kurechii’s first attempt at a brand-new genre. It’s an action roguelite that mixes party-based character switching with real-time combat on a grid-based battlefield. Since its first reveal in 2025, the team has continued refining its tactical combat systems while also building out the game’s story, both of which players will get to try during the upcoming Beta Test. Yiwei P’ng, founder and director of Kurechii, explained that the grid isn’t just a visual element, saying it “shapes how you read the battlefield” and makes every decision in combat feel deliberate. Registration for the Abyssfall: Seekers Within Beta Test is now open through a sign-up form.

On the Prism Arcana side, Kurechii announced a new YouTube channel called Prism Arcana Shorts, which offers shorter versions of the studio’s existing “The Journey Begins: Worldbuilding Series” videos. The first episode is already available to watch. Alongside the new channel, the studio also expanded the Bestiary section on the Prism Arcana website, adding more details about the creatures that live in the world of Prism. Yiwei P’ng described Prism Arcana as the place “where the world behind our games lives,” covering the history, places, creatures, and stories that go beyond any single game, and noted that it’s meant to be explored at each fan’s own pace.

With Postknight World heading toward Alpha Testing and Abyssfall: Seekers Within opening its Beta Test registration, Kurechii’s Next 2026 showcase gave fans a clearer picture of where both projects stand, while the expanded Prism Arcana content offers even more ways to dig into the world connecting them.
