Atlus has released a lengthy 20-minute video giving fans a closer look at Persona 4 Revival, the upcoming RPG remake. The broadcast covers the game’s setting, cast, story, and gameplay systems in greater detail, though it mostly builds on what was already known rather than revealing major new information.
For those unfamiliar with the story, Persona 4 Revival follows a protagonist and his group of friends called the Investigation Team as they work together to catch a serial killer who has been throwing victims into a strange alternate world that can only be entered through televisions.
On the gameplay side, the broadcast highlights several mechanics both old and new. Returning features include the series’ social life elements, dungeon crawling, and Persona fusion. Baton Pass also makes a return, letting party members hand off their turns to one another. The feature was previously seen in Persona 5 and Persona 3 Reload.
Two new mechanics were also shown. The first involves guarding against enemy attacks on the field, which causes Shadows to flinch and opens them up for a preemptive strike. Shadows that have been hit with a status ailment can also be launched into nearby enemies, spreading the ailment to them as well. The second new addition is Prime Time, a gauge-based system that unleashes a flurry of attacks on enemies while dropping all skill costs to zero. It ends with Prime Time Finish, a powerful final blow that deals heavy damage.

Beyond gameplay, Atlus confirmed that all voice lines in the game have been re-recorded, including those from minor events. New music is also coming, with both the opening theme and battle music getting fresh tracks. More details on the soundtrack are expected to be shared at a later date.
The broadcast wrapped up with Kazuhisa Wada, general producer of the Persona team, addressing fans directly. He described the remake as having a different “color” from the original, framing it as a “stress-free” experience built around updated, modern design choices. Persona 4 Revival is set to launch on February 18, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Microsoft Store, and Steam.
