SHIFT UP has officially announced Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN, the next entry in the Stellar Blade series. The reveal took place during Summer Game Fest 2026, where a debut trailer was shown to audiences for the first time. According to SHIFT UP, BLOOD RAIN picks up the story after the events of the first game and will introduce a new protagonist named Evie. The developer describes it as the next chapter in the action adventure franchise they started with the original Stellar Blade.

The trailer shown during the event was captured entirely in-game on PC, though SHIFT UP noted that the footage comes from a game still in development and that what was shown is subject to change. No platforms or release date were announced alongside the reveal. The game is described as being early in development. Notably, starting with this title, SHIFT UP will be self-publishing rather than working with Sony Interactive Entertainment, who published the first game.

The original Stellar Blade launched as a PS5 exclusive in April 2024 before coming to PC in June 2025. On Steam, it reached over 100,000 concurrent users, making it one of the more successful PlayStation-to-PC ports to date, and had sold over three million copies across both platforms as of June 2025. No further details on BLOOD RAIN’s platforms, story, or release window have been shared at this time.
