SEGA and Creative Assembly have officially unveiled Alien Isolation 2, dropping the first full trailer for the game during the Summer Game Fest showcase. The trailer confirmed that the game is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC. No release window was given, so there’s no word yet on when players can expect to get their hands on it.

Creative director Al Hope spoke on stage at the event, saying the team is excited to return to the survival horror genre. “It’s been 12 years since we released the first Alien Isolation, and we’re continuing what we started, creating an authentic new chapter which builds on that core Isolation experience of escaping the terrifying, unkillable, relentless Alien,” Hope said.
Art director Ana Sopikova also took the stage alongside Hope to discuss the game, with the two describing the experience on the planet as a “desperate struggle” for survival. This trailer wasn’t the first hint that Alien Isolation 2 was in the works. Back in April, SEGA released a short teaser for the sequel, signaling that a bigger reveal was on the way. That announcement has now arrived, though fans will have to wait a bit longer to find out when the game actually launches.
