Twelve years after the original Alien: Isolation launched, developer Creative Assembly has officially revealed that a sequel is in the works. The studio dropped a teaser trailer that shows a dimly lit room with a flashing red light, an ominous soundtrack building in the background, and a close-up of what appears to be a payphone with the word emergency lit up.
True to form, Creative Assembly keeps things close to the chest, letting the atmosphere and sound do most of the talking rather than giving anything major away.

There is one small detail in the teaser worth noting. When a door briefly opens in the background, the setting visible behind it suggests the sequel may take place at least partially on a planet’s surface. This is a notable difference from the first game, which was largely set aboard a space station, and could hint at a larger game world.
This announcement builds on a reveal that Creative Assembly first made back in 2024, on the 10th anniversary of the original game. At the time, Creative Director Al Hope shared a statement addressed to fans around the world.
“On the 10th anniversary, it seems only fitting to let you know that we have heard your distress calls loud and clear,” Hope wrote.

Hope also reflected on the original game in that message, noting that the team set out to create an experience that went back to the roots of the 1979 film, and expressed genuine gratitude toward the community that kept the game alive over the years. No release date, platforms, or additional story details have been shared at this time.
