Konami, Annapurna Interactive, and developer Screen Burn Interactive have announced that Silent Hill: Townfall will launch on September 24 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The date was revealed during a recent State of Play alongside a new trailer that shows off a new character, gameplay, and more.
The new trailer finally puts a face to a voice heard in a previous reveal trailer. The character is Zoe, a nurse from a local family clinic in St. Amelia, the island setting of the game. She can be heard calling out to the protagonist Simon, while also asking him what he is doing there. Simon does not recognize St. Amelia or Zoe, which sets up a key part of the mystery surrounding his situation.
Screen Burn has shared that puzzles in Townfall are designed alongside the story itself rather than added separately. The idea is that solving them gives players a better understanding of Simon’s situation and the world around him. Each puzzle is said to carry meaning or a revelation connected to the town and its people.
The trailer also gives a first look at a new enemy lurking in the Otherworld. According to the developers, not all enemies can be fought, and some require players to avoid being seen entirely. A mechanic involving the in-game CRTV device lets players peek at their surroundings to assess the situation. Being spotted by certain creatures can trigger a chase with serious consequences.

The game makes use of several DualSense controller features. Adaptive triggers are used to simulate the feel of firearms, while haptic feedback conveys the footsteps of nearby creatures when players are hiding. The game also includes motion controls, such as physically tilting the controller to fine-tune the CRTV’s signal reception.

Silent Hill: Townfall is available for pre-order now on the PlayStation Store. The Standard Edition comes with two cosmetic bonuses: “CRTV: Rusted” and “CRTV: Beach Edition.” The Deluxe Edition adds an alternate outfit for Simon, a bonus application with an interactive artbook and digital soundtrack, and 48-hour early access to the game.
