Capcom is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Ōkami with a special themed collaboration event at selected Monster Hunter Bar locations in Japan. The limited-time event will run from April 20 to June 1, 2026, featuring themed food, drinks, and exclusive merchandise inspired by the beloved action-adventure title.
The collaboration will take place at the Akihabara venue in Tokyo and Monster Hunter Bar WEST in Namba, Osaka, with advance reservations available online and limited walk-in entry depending on capacity.
Themed Menu Inspired by Amaterasu and Okami’s World

To commemorate the anniversary, the collaboration introduces a special menu inspired by characters and motifs from the game’s distinctive Japanese ink-wash aesthetic world. Highlights include dishes themed after the sun goddess Amaterasu, alongside items such as Princess Sakuya’s Peach Buns and a citrus drink inspired by Mr. Orange.
Visitors who order collaboration menu items will also receive one random original coaster (eight designs available) per item purchased. In addition, guests will receive one limited postcard for every ¥3,000 spent on collaboration menu items.
Both venues will also provide access to private karaoke rooms, allowing fans to further enjoy the themed experience during their visit.
Celebrating 20 Years of Okami

Originally developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom, Okami first launched on April 20, 2006 for the PlayStation 2. Since then, the critically acclaimed title has been re-released across multiple platforms including the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC, with over four million copies sold worldwide.
Players take control of Amaterasu, the Shinto sun goddess in wolf form, as she restores life to a corrupted land. One of the game’s defining mechanics is the Celestial Brush, which allows players to draw directly onto the environment to solve puzzles, reshape terrain, and defeat enemies in creative ways.
The title remains widely recognised for its distinctive sumi-e inspired art direction, emotional storytelling, and innovative gameplay systems, helping it maintain a lasting legacy nearly two decades after release.
Collaboration Event Marks Anniversary Milestone

The Monster Hunter Bar collaboration is part of Capcom’s broader celebration of Okami’s 20th anniversary, giving fans a chance to experience themed food, collectibles, and atmosphere inspired by the game’s world in a dedicated venue setting.
The celebration also follows the announcement of an Okami sequel in December 2024, signalling continued momentum for the long-running fan-favourite franchise.
Fans planning to attend the collaboration event are encouraged to reserve seats early due to expected demand during the limited event period.
