aNCHOR has brought two classic visual novels to Apple devices. Muv-Luv Remastered and Muv-Luv Alternative Remastered are now available on iOS in both English and Japanese, following their earlier release on Android.
Muv-Luv Remastered is priced at $9.99, while Muv-Luv Alternative Remastered comes in at $11.99. PC players can also take advantage of a 20th-anniversary sale currently running on Steam, which covers the entire Muv-Luv franchise. The sale runs until March 14, 2026, at 10:59 AM PT.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Muv-Luv is a visual novel franchise best known for its mech combat and darker storytelling. The first game starts out as a fairly standard high-school romance, following protagonist Takeru as he navigates daily life surrounded by a cast of girls with romantic storylines. Things take a much heavier turn in the second entry, Muv-Luv Unlimited, where the tone shifts significantly. The third entry, Muv-Luv Alternative, picks up after the events of Unlimited and is actually included within the first Muv-Luv package.

As the series progresses, the romance elements that defined the first game take a back seat to a broader, more serious narrative involving world-threatening aliens. Takeru remains the central character throughout all three entries, whether he’s dealing with the lighter drama of everyday life or the far grimmer reality of large-scale conflict.
The iOS launch of Muv-Luv Remastered and Muv-Luv Alternative Remastered gives mobile players a chance to experience the full arc of the story across both releases.
