FromSoftware has confirmed the schedule for a closed network test of its upcoming multiplayer action game The Duskbloods. The test will run from August 21 to 24 on Nintendo Switch 2, giving players an early chance to try out the game before it fully launches. According to FromSoftware, each match during the test will support up to eight players at once. Sign-ups for the network test open on July 22 through the official campaign website. Players interested in taking part can register once the page goes live.

The Duskbloods is a player-versus-player-versus-environment title, meaning matches will involve players competing against each other while also dealing with threats from the game environment itself.
FromSoftware also shared specific time slots for the test sessions. On August 21, sessions are scheduled from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. PDT and again from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. PDT. On August 22, there will be a single session running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. PDT. August 23 will follow the same format as the 21st, with sessions from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. PDT and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. PDT.
The developer explained that the purpose of the test is to check different technical aspects of the game’s online systems before service begins. This includes a game server load test, where large numbers of players will be connected at once to see how the servers hold up.
