Grasshopper Manufacture is preparing an exciting year. Following the upcoming release of ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN, company president Goichi “Suda 51” Suda revealed during a special “Grasshopper Direct” livestream that the studio plans to release a second, unannounced game in 2026.
Suda 51 Promises a Big Reveal Soon

“We actually have a surprise announcement for you all in this Grasshopper Direct,” Suda said. “It’s almost 100 percent certain that we’ll release one more game during 2026. What kind of game? When can we announce it? We’re not sure yet… But if you wait a little longer, I feel we’ll be able to reveal it soon.”
He encouraged fans to stay tuned to events, media, and videos. “Sooner or later, we’ll have that big announcement ready for you all,” Suda added.
Physical Editions and Nintendo Switch 2 Version of ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN

Suda addressed questions regarding physical copies and a Nintendo Switch 2 version of ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN.
“The packaged version everyone is asking about… We call it a ‘physical version’ in the industry,” Suda explained. “Many people have requested a physical copy. We’re in talks with several companies to make it happen. We’ll announce it once finalized, so we appreciate your patience. The same goes for the Nintendo Switch 2 version; we’re doing everything we can to release it.”
Upcoming Release

ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN will launch on February 11 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
Looking Ahead

Grasshopper Manufacture has two major releases lined up for 2026. While the unannounced title remains mysterious, Suda’s message confirms the studio’s continued focus on narrative-driven, stylish action games. Fans can expect a full announcement soon, and the year promises more unique experiences from the team behind cult classics.
