Publisher Shueisha Games and developer SIGONO have announced that OPUS: Prism Peak will launch on March 26 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The upcoming release marks the latest entry in the OPUS series, continuing the studio’s focus on emotional storytelling and reflective, narrative-driven gameplay.
Positioned as a multi-ending adventure, OPUS: Prism Peak places player choice and quiet observation at the center of its experience, encouraging players to engage with its world at a thoughtful, deliberate pace.
A Story About Loss, Reflection, and Finding a Way Home

OPUS: Prism Peak follows a weary, middle-aged photojournalist who retreats from city life in search of comfort in his roots. However, an unexpected accident leaves him stranded in a mysterious mountain realm that exists outside normal reality. Armed only with an old camera, he must explore this fading world and uncover the truth behind his surroundings in order to return home.
Along the way, he encounters a strange girl with no memory of her past, only a lingering sense that she was meant to help someone who had lost their way. As their journey unfolds, their connection becomes a key part of the narrative, offering emotional contrast and new perspective as the protagonist confronts his own regrets and unanswered questions.
Photography as a Core Gameplay Mechanic

Photography plays a central role in OPUS: Prism Peak, serving as both a gameplay system and a narrative device. Players are encouraged to closely observe their environment, understand the desires of the spirits they encounter, and capture meaningful moments through the camera lens. The act of taking photographs reflects how the protagonist engages with the world, reinforcing the game’s theme of cherishing moments while learning when to let go.
The world itself leans heavily into magical realism. While it resembles reality, it is slowly fading, inhabited only by animal spirits who believe that capturing one another’s moments is the key to their continued existence. This fragile balance gives the setting a melancholic tone that aligns closely with the game’s emotional core.
Player Choice and Multiple Endings

Choices made throughout the journey influence the bonds formed with the spirits encountered along the way. These relationships quietly shape the story’s outcome, leading to multiple possible endings. Rather than presenting overt branching paths, OPUS: Prism Peak allows consequences to unfold naturally, encouraging players to reflect on their actions and emotional connections.
With its contemplative narrative, distinctive visual style, and emphasis on personal growth, OPUS: Prism Peak aims to deliver an intimate adventure experience when it launches on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam this March.
