Netmarble and developer Netmarble F&C have postponed the launch of The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin from January 28 to March 2026. The delay comes after the game’s closed beta test in early November produced more detailed player feedback than the team expected. According to Netmarble, most beta participants said they planned to keep playing after launch, and many praised the game’s graphics, story, and combat systems.
Players particularly enjoyed how closely the game recreated the original anime, the open-world exploration, the storytelling, and the tag-based action combat. However, the beta also revealed several areas needing work.

The main issues identified were:
- Controls – Players found character movement felt sluggish and that targeting was awkward
- Combat System – The difficulty was too high, and combat pacing and skill responses felt slow
- User Interface/User Experience – The menu layout was confusing and made it hard to find features
Netmarble reviewed both survey responses and direct observations of players during demo events. The company determined that fixing these problems required more than quick tweaks—they needed deeper changes to the game’s systems and structure.

After weighing whether to stick with the original release date or take more time to improve the game, the team chose to delay. Netmarble apologized for not meeting the January release window but said the extra two months will allow them to deliver better quality. More details about the planned improvements are available on the game’s official website. The free-to-play open-world action RPG will launch on PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android.
