Pearl Abyss has launched the Ancient Anvil system in Black Desert Mobile, a new feature that makes item enhancement less risky for players. The update went live today following its announcement at Calpheon Ball 2025.

The Ancient Anvil works as a safety system that rewards players even when their upgrade attempts don’t succeed. Each time an enhancement fails, a special gauge fills up for that specific upgrade level. When the gauge is completely filled, the Ancient Anvil activates and guarantees that the next enhancement attempt will work.

Item enhancement has been one of the tougher parts of Black Desert Mobile for players to deal with. The Ancient Anvil addresses this by making sure that multiple failed attempts eventually result in a guaranteed success, which helps players make consistent progress over time.

Players who tried enhancements between July 1, 2025, and the update will benefit from a bonus. All their failed attempts during that period have been counted toward their starting Ancient Anvil gauge, just as Pearl Abyss promised at Calpheon Ball 2025.

To mark the launch of the Ancient Anvil system, Black Desert Mobile is hosting four in-game events with enhancement rewards. Players can earn up to 218,000 Restoration Scrolls plus other useful items like Sealed Charm of Succession and Okiara’s Blessing to help them use the new Ancient Anvil system.
