TT Games has released a new trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, confirming a May 29, 2026 launch date for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. The upcoming title aims to deliver a more dynamic take on the studio’s long-running LEGO formula, emphasizing fluid combat, character gadgets, and an expansive Gotham to explore.
A New Approach to LEGO Combats

The trailer showcases Batman cutting through groups of Joker’s henchmen with a revised combat system designed to feel faster and more responsive than previous LEGO entries. TT Games highlights that while the action has evolved, the studio preserved the signature LEGO humor and movement style that define the franchise.
As the story escalates and enemy encounters become more aggressive, Batman will not operate alone. Members of the DC Bat-Family—Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Detective Jim Gordon—join the campaign as playable allies, each bringing a distinct combat style and gadget set.
Robin displays agile acrobatics inspired by his circus background, Batgirl uses her Hackarang to infiltrate systems and manipulate machinery, Nightwing enters the fray with his battle staff, and Catwoman unleashes her feline companions while darting through crowds with whip attacks. Jim Gordon’s foam sprayer returns from the Gamescom reveal, rounding out a diverse suite of tools and abilities.
A Gotham Full of Classic Villains

The game’s story spans a wide roster of Gotham’s most iconic adversaries. Players will encounter The Joker, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Firefly, Bane, and several more villains attempting to plunge the city into chaos. Their presence reinforces the scale of the campaign and the number of threats Batman must confront.
Vehicles from Film, TV, and Comics

Traversal plays a major role in the adventure, with Gotham presented as a large urban playground. Batman can unlock and build multiple Batmobiles inspired by several eras of the character, including the designs from Batman (1989), The Dark Knight (2008), The Batman (2022), and Batman: The Animated Series.
Other heroes have their own signature rides as well, such as Nightwing’s Nightcycle, which appears in the new trailer.
A Fully Featured Batcave and Over 100 Suits
Players can explore the Batcave, which includes a LEGO recreation of the giant penny, rows of character stations, and a deep wardrobe of outfits.
The game features more than 100 suits across the Bat-Family, including designs from the Bronze Age, Zero Year, multiple Batman films, and classic comic runs. Each suit is built to reflect its original source material, offering cosmetic variety for fans across generations.
Launch Editions and Early Access
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight arrives on all platforms on May 29, 2026. Standard and Deluxe Edition pre-orders are now live. Both editions include the Dark Knight Returns Batsuit at launch, while the Deluxe Edition adds three-day early access beginning May 26, 2026.
TT Games emphasizes that this entry aims to celebrate Batman’s full legacy—from its villains to its vehicles—while offering an updated, modernized LEGO adventure. Players will take up the mantle of the Caped Crusader next May.
