SEGA is shifting into high gear as Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds prepares its Legend Competition, a limited-time event for top racers. Additionally, fans can enjoy Black Friday deals, vote in The Game Awards 2025, stream the soundtrack, and try a free demo before buying the full game.
The Legend Competition is Geared Towards Top Racers

The Legend Competition begins December 5, 2025. Players ranked Legend 9 or higher in World Match can compete online to improve their rating. The goal, however, is the prestigious Emerald Grade.

The event ends December 22, 2025, 7:59 AM (UTC+8). Legend Grades and ratings reset after each round. Meanwhile, every participant receives a special reward, giving top racers extra incentive to join.
Black Friday Deals and Crossover DLC

SEGA is offering 30% off the Digital Deluxe Edition for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One during the Black Friday Sale. The edition includes the base game, Season Pass, and multiple crossover DLC waves.

For example, popular franchises such as Minecraft, SpongeBob SquarePants, PAC-MAN, and Mega Man appear in these DLCs. New players can start their journey, while veterans can expand their collection with new characters, machines, and gadgets.
Awards, Soundtrack, and Free Demo
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has been nominated for Best Family and Best Sports/Racing at The Game Awards 2025. Voting is open until December 11, 10:00 AM (UTC+8). The soundtrack, in addition, is now streaming online.

It features over 200 tracks, including the main theme “Sonic Racing – Cross the Worlds –”, with contributions from the SEGA Sound Team and notable remix artists. A free demo is available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games. Players can customize Machines, equip Gadgets, and race in Grand Prix or Time Trial modes. Finally, save data transfers to the full game.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition launches December 4, 2025. It supports save transfer from the previous Switch release and allows local wireless play for up to eight players.
