Sucker Punch Productions will release a free update for Ghost of Yotei on November 24, adding New Game Plus mode and several new features to the samurai action game.
New Game Plus lets players restart Atsu’s story in Ghost of Yotei while keeping all the gear, weapons, and abilities they collected during their first playthrough. The mode becomes available after completing the main story and includes harder difficulty settings for players looking for a tougher challenge. Two new Trophies will also be added.
The update introduces a new in-game currency called Ghost Flowers. Players can trade these with a new vendor for over 30 cosmetic items, including new armor sets and weapon dyes, plus 10 new charms. The patch also adds another upgrade tier for existing armor and weapons. Beyond New Game Plus, the update brings improvements to the base game. Players who have finished the main story can now replay content in the post-game, and a new stats display has been added. The patch also includes new accessibility features like directional button remapping.

Photo Mode is getting several upgrades as well, with new options including shutter speed controls, a composition grid, and additional filters. Ghost of Yōtei launched last month to positive reception, with players praising its expanded combat system and stunning visuals set in the northern frontier of Ezo. The addition of New Game Plus gives fans another reason to dive back into Atsu’s revenge story, this time with all their hard-earned gear from the start.
