The Pokémon Company has announced that Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will receive its next major expansion, titled Mega Rising, on October 30. The expansion will be released alongside a free update introducing several new features to the mobile game. In addition, the company revealed that the title has surpassed 150 million downloads across all platforms, further solidifying its position as one of the most popular Pokémon mobile games.

The Power of Mega Evolution Returns

Mega Rising marks the debut of a brand-new series in Pokémon TCG Pocket, featuring the long-awaited Mega-Evolved Pokémon. Players can now experience the strength of Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, expanding their digital card collections with powerful new additions.

The expansion will introduce three themed booster packs—Mega Rising: Mega Gyarados, Mega Rising: Mega Blaziken, and Mega Rising: Mega Altaria. Each pack showcases one of these iconic Pokémon, giving players new ways to explore strategies built around their Mega forms. These cards aim to capture the excitement and dynamic energy that Mega Evolution first brought to the Pokémon franchise.

A Major Free Update for Collectors

Launching alongside Mega Rising is a free update that focuses on enhancing community and collection features. One of the biggest additions is the new Share feature, which lets players send and receive one 1-Diamond to 4-Diamond rarity card per day with friends. This makes sharing rare cards easier and adds a social element to daily play.

The trading system is also expanding. Players can now trade cards from the newest expansions and booster packs, including 1-Star, 2-Star, 1-Diamond to 4-Diamond, and Shiny 1–Shiny 2 rarity cards. These changes make trading more inclusive and rewarding for collectors who enjoy building complete sets or hunting rare finds.

Meanwhile, the Wonder Pick feature has been improved to give players better chances at obtaining new cards. Cards from the latest expansion will appear more often, and the system will now display how many copies of each card a player owns. This makes it easier to track progress and identify which cards are still missing.
