The Pokémon Legends: Z-A launch event is currently taking place at Sunway Pyramid’s Blue Atrium from October 16-19, 2025, offering fans a chance to try out the new game before its release along with various Pokémon-themed activities. The four-day event is split into two segments. October 16-17 (Thursday and Friday) features regular activities, while October 18-19 (Saturday and Sunday) includes additional stage events, a Pikachu meet and greet, Pokémon Bingo, and a Pokémon Quiz.
Visitors can try Pokémon Legends: Z-A through two different demo zones, with each session lasting 10 minutes. The Wilds Zone Trial lets players explore during daytime and catch Pokémon, while the Rogue Mega-Evolved Pokémon Battle Trial allows players to use Mega Evolution and battle against Rampage Mega Evolution Pokémon. Those who complete a demo session receive one limited edition sticker.
The event also features a stamp rally where visitors can earn a Pokémon TCG fun pack by collecting three stamps. Participants can get their stamp card from the Redemption Counter and complete three tasks: take a photo or video at the event and post it on social media with #PokemonZAMY, join a Pokémon TCG tutorial session, and try the Pokémon Legends: Z-A demo.
The weekend features special programming including a Pikachu meet and greet, Pokémon Bingo, a Pokémon Quiz, and stage events. Following this event, Pokémon Legends: Z-A trial play sessions will be held at 1 Utama Shopping Centre from October 23-26. All event details are subject to change and cancellation without prior notice.
Other activities at the event include a Pokémon Pop-Up Store where merchandise and Pokémon video games are available for purchase, including limited stock of Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Beginner-friendly Pokémon TCG tutorial sessions are available for visitors to learn and experience card battles. There’s also an activity where participants can draw and design their own TCG card, and the Pokémon Mezastar arcade game is available to play on-site at RM1 per token, with 5 tokens needed for one game.
