HoYoverse has officially announced Genshin Impact Version “Luna II” (“Song of the Welkin Moon: Reprise — An Elegy for Faded Moonlight”), launching on October 22. The update expands the storyline in Nod-Krai and debuts Miliastra Wonderland, the game’s long-awaited UGC (User-Generated Content) system. Players can also look forward to the arrival of playable Nefer, a new 5-star Dendro catalyst wielder, along with returning favorites Varka and Arlecchino.

Enter the Miliastra Wonderland

The highlight of Version “Luna II” is the launch of Miliastra Wonderland, a creative space that lets players explore, design, and share their own content. It features hundreds of Stages, each filled with adventure challenges, PvP battles, and party games. Players who have completed the Prologue Act I, “The Outlander Who Caught the Wind,” can access this world and enjoy a wide variety of activities either solo or with friends.

The Manekins, customizable avatars used within the Wonderland, offer deep personalization options. Players can adjust hair, facial features, and accessories or combine different Outfit Components to create unique styles. Preset outfits are also available for quick customization. As players explore, they can earn special rewards such as outfit trials, outfit sets, and limited-time items through events and activities.

The Miliastra Sandbox further expands player freedom. This editing tool turns players into “Craftspeople,” allowing them to design and share their own Stages. They can edit terrain, place items, adjust character skills, and create logic-based interactions. To support creators, HoYoverse has added tutorials, a community forum, and programs that highlight top Stages and reward outstanding creators.

New Archon Quest and Returning Allies

Version “Luna II” continues the story in Nod-Krai, following the ongoing threat of Rerir, known as the “Rächer of Solnari.” Players will face this challenge with help from familiar allies, including Varka, Arlecchino, and Sandrone. The Damselette and Nefer, head of the Curatorium of Secrets, will also guide the Traveler through Rerir’s mysteries. Completing this Archon Quest rewards players with 560 Primogems, adding even more incentive to dive into the new chapter.

Meet Nefer, the New Dendro Catalyst

Nefer debuts as a playable 5-star Dendro catalyst user who specializes in Lunar-Bloom attacks. By absorbing Verdant Dew through her Elemental Skill, she can unleash powerful, stamina-free Charged Attacks. When she enters the Ascendant Gleam state, she converts Dendro Cores into Seeds of Deceit, further enhancing her damage output.

Beyond combat, Nefer’s investigative skills shine through her role as the head of the Curatorium of Secrets. Players can collect intel during their journey and exchange it at the Adventurers’ Guild to unlock unique anecdotes and side quests. Her Event Wish runs alongside Furina in the first half of the update, followed by Arlecchino and Zhongli in the second.

Fresh Events and Seasonal Rewards

Version “Luna II” also brings new events and activities. At Silvermoon Hall, The Damselette returns with new commissions, story content, and an exclusive namecard reward. Meanwhile, a seasonal event in Sumeru offers Primogems and a chance to invite Collei to your party for free. These additions give players plenty of reasons to revisit familiar regions and experience new stories.

With cross-progression and Co-Op across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Android, and iOS, players can enjoy Genshin Impact Version “Luna II” anywhere. The introduction of Miliastra Wonderland marks a major step for the series, combining player creativity with classic Genshin exploration.
