Capcom announced that the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem has already surpassed two million wishlists, setting high expectations before its global release early next year. The milestone shows just how much excitement the series still commands after decades of survival horror.

A New Chapter in Raccoon City
In Resident Evil Requiem, players return to the infamous Raccoon City, the birthplace of the series’ biological nightmare. This time, the story follows Grace Ashcroft, an FBI technical analyst investigating new threats. Her journey becomes personal when she uncovers ties to her mother, Alyssa Ashcroft, a character fans may remember from Resident Evil Outbreak.

Capcom describes the game as a tense mix of psychological horror and action, much like the series’ recent entries. Players can expect claustrophobic environments, frightening encounters, and the kind of resource-driven survival gameplay that defines the franchise.
Next-Level Realism

Capcom also promises significant visual improvements. Character models now feature lifelike facial expressions, realistic skin textures, and even visible sweat droplets. These details aim to heighten immersion and make every encounter feel more intense. Combined with the game’s moody lighting and sound design, Requiem is shaping up to deliver a chillingly realistic horror experience.
Global Accessibility
The new entry is designed for a worldwide audience. At launch, Resident Evil Requiem will support voiceovers in nine languages, including English, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Castilian Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian.

In addition, subtitles will be available in Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, and Polish. With this broad language support, Capcom ensures that fans across the globe can dive into Grace’s terrifying story.
Release Date

Resident Evil Requiem is set to launch on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. With more than two million wishlists already secured, the game stands as one of Capcom’s most anticipated horror releases to date.
