Yu Suzuki and ININ Games officially announced Shenmue III Enhanced, the upgraded edition of the 2019 action adventure title. The new version will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam & Epic Games Store), and an unspecified Nintendo platform, though the exact release window remains unconfirmed. A full unveiling will take place at gamescom 2025.
The original Shenmue III debuted on PlayStation 4 and PC. It continues Ryo Hazuki’s journey through China as he searches for his father’s killer while training his martial arts. The Enhanced Edition brings upgraded visuals, gameplay tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements, all while staying true to the series’ spirit.
