Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games have released a new recap trailer for Little Nightmares III, placing the spotlight on its co-op gameplay.
The horror adventure launches on October 10, 2025, for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Two Friends Against the Spiral

The game follows Lone and Alone, two best friends trying to escape a terrifying dimension known as the Spiral. Each character has unique abilities: Lone wields a bow for long-range interactions, while Alone uses a wrench to smash barriers and finish stunned enemies.
The characters must rely on each other to navigate puzzles and survive hidden threats. Whether players control both through AI support or play with a friend, cooperation is essential.
Co-Op Features and Friends Pass
One of the standout features shown in the Little Nightmares III recap trailer is cross-generation multiplayer. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users can play together, as can Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players.
In addition, the Friends Pass allows owners to invite a friend to join, even if they don’t own the game. While there won’t be voice chat, a call button lets players signal their partner. Other quality-of-life features include multiple save slots and even a dedicated hand-holding button for easier coordination.
Environmental Gameplay and Exploration

The Spiral’s environments are filled with dangers and clues. Players must use each character’s tools creatively. For example, Lone’s arrows can knock down ropes or attack airborne enemies, while Alone’s wrench can break through obstacles.
This design emphasizes teamwork while keeping the eerie atmosphere that defines the Little Nightmares series.

Little Nightmares III is set to release on October 10, 2025. It will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
