Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for August 2025, offering a mix of blockbuster action, atmospheric adventures, and classic survival horror. The new titles will be available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members starting August 19, 2025.
Highlights this month include the cinematic fighting of Mortal Kombat 1, the open-world heroics of Marvel’s Spider-Man, and the day-one launch of Sword of the Sea. Players can also battle alien swarms in Earth Defense Force 6 or explore tactical fantasy in Unicorn Overlord.
Meanwhile, PlayStation Plus Premium members will receive two retro classics: the original Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Both are enhanced with modern features such as up-rendering and rewind. On the same day, Premium members can also try Death Stranding 2: On the Beach with a five-hour Game Trial. If they choose to buy the full game, their progress and trophies will carry over.
