Hello Kitty Island Adventure is officially expanding to another platform, with the cozy island life sim set to launch for PlayStation 5 on August 5, 2025, developer Sunblink has announced.

Originally released as an Apple Arcade exclusive in 2023, the game has since made its way to PC and Nintendo Switch earlier this year, continuing its global rollout across major platforms. The PS5 version marks the next step in making the Sanrio adventure more accessible than ever before, with enhanced visuals and new ways to play.

Cozy Island Life With Sanrio Charm

Inspired by titles like Animal Crossing, Hello Kitty Island Adventure blends relaxing island exploration with open-ended progression and character interaction. Players will meet beloved Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Kuromi, along with some lesser-known friends across eight themed regions.

The PlayStation 5 release features full support for multiplayer gameplay, letting players explore the island together with friends and family, build relationships, and customize their world.

Ongoing Events and Thematic Updates

The game continues to receive monthly updates, each introducing new content, cosmetics, and seasonal activities. Recent events include the City Classics update, which added a tourist shop feature, and the Under the Sea Celebration, bringing ocean-themed cosmetics.

Currently, Hello Kitty Island Adventure is hosting the Friendship Festival, featuring My Melody and Kuromi. The event runs until August 23, giving PlayStation 5 players a chance to jump in just in time to participate.
