Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially unveiled the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for August 2025, featuring a trio of titles spanning dark fantasy, survival, and anime-based action. All three games will be available to PlayStation Plus members across all tiers starting August 5, 2025.
The PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for August 2025 features a diverse trio of titles: Lies of P (PS4, PS5), DayZ (PS4), and My Hero One’s Justice 2 (PS4).
These games will be available to all PlayStation Plus members starting August 5, replacing the July selection, and will remain accessible until a yet-to-be-announced date in early September.
Lies of P Highlights the Lineup

Among the standout additions this month is Lies of P, a soulslike action RPG from Round8 Studio. The game offers a dark reinterpretation of The Adventures of Pinocchio, where players step into the role of Pinocchio in a haunting, Belle Époque-inspired city overrun by madness and deadly puppets.
Combat features interchangeable Legion Arms and a unique “lie system” that influences both story outcomes and gameplay. According to Sony, Lies of P delivers “a twisted soulslike take on a well-known children’s tale,” blending brutal combat with narrative depth.
Survive the Apocalypse in DayZ

Also featured is DayZ, an unforgiving open-world survival game developed by Bohemia Interactive. Set in a post-apocalyptic world with no checkpoints or respawns, players must scavenge for supplies, avoid infected enemies, and decide who to trust in an environment where danger is constant.
The game includes both the classic Chernarus map and the expansive Livonia region, offering over 160 square kilometers of terrain to explore.
My Hero Academia Returns With My Hero One’s Justice 2

Anime fans can look forward to My Hero One’s Justice 2, a 3D arena fighter based on the hit My Hero Academia franchise. Featuring heroes and villains like Midoriya, Bakugo, and Shigaraki, the game allows players to unleash powerful Quirks across large battle stages with flashy, over-the-top combat faithful to the anime’s tone.
With an expanded roster and refined mechanics, it’s a must-play for fans of the series.
15th Anniversary Avatars Available for Free
As part of the ongoing PlayStation Plus 15th Anniversary celebration, members can claim a set of exclusive avatars that commemorate PlayStation Plus’ evolution since its launch in 2010. Members can claim them starting August 5 at no additional cost.
The avatar pack includes designs from fan-favorite franchises such as:

Last Chance to Grab July 2025 Titles

Sony also reminded players that August 4 is the final day to claim the July 2025 Monthly Games, which include Diablo IV, The King of Fighters XV, and Jusant. To keep these titles in their library, players must add them before the deadline. Once claimed, the games will remain accessible as long as the user maintains an active PlayStation Plus subscription.
