Capcom has released fresh gameplay footage and detailed information about Sagat’s moveset for Street Fighter 6. The latest trailer shows off the character’s Muay Thai-inspired fighting style and special abilities ahead of his August 5 release date. Sagat first appeared as the final boss in the original Street Fighter game, making him a fan favorite among both longtime players and newcomers.
The gameplay trailer shows that Sagat’s moveset takes full advantage of his large frame and long reach. His attacks pack serious power and cover good distance. Along with Sagat’s release, players will get access to a new stage called Proud Spire. This peaceful location features a calm temple setting with a Buddha statue in the background.
Sagat comes with two different outfits to choose from. Outfit 1 gives him a fresh, darker look that’s still inspired by Muay Thai. Outfit 2 brings back his classic Street Fighter II appearance, complete with traditional Muay Thai shorts and hand and foot wraps that real Muay Thai fighters commonly wear. Players can unlock Outfit 2 by building their relationship with Sagat in World Tour mode or buy it using Fighter Coins.
Sagat is part of the Year 3 content for Street Fighter 6. Players can get him through either the Year 3 Ultimate Pass or Year 3 Character Pass. Both passes include Sagat plus three other upcoming characters: C. Viper, Alex, and Ingrid. The passes also come with new outfit colors and Drive Tickets.

These passes are available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. Nintendo Switch 2 owners can pre-order the passes, with content unlocking when Sagat releases on August 5.
