BIC Festival 2025 Unveils Match Your Indie Spirit Theme Through Puzzle-Inspired Key Visual

Busan’s premier indie gaming event Busan Indie Connect Festival 2025 (BIC 2025) has revealed its captivating new visual identity that promises meaningful connections between developers and players at this year’s festival.

The BIC 2025 organizing committee officially unveiled its key visual on May 9, featuring a spaceship-shaped puzzle piece finding its perfect match on a larger puzzle board. This imagery symbolizes the festival’s new slogan “Match your Indie Spirit” and represents the moment of connection between indie games and their audiences.

The puzzle board depicts what organizers call “UNIVERSE-INDIE,” BIC’s unique cosmos filled with creative possibilities. According to the announcement from the City of Busan and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, this visual concept emphasizes both “connection” and “discovery” themes that will be central to this year’s event.

“This year’s key visual captures the moment when indie game seekers and developers click together like puzzle pieces,” said Soungpil Joo, Chairman of the BIC Organizing Committee. “BIC 2025 will be more than just an exhibition; it will be a special festival where everyone can experience and connect with the indie spirit that resonates with them.”

The visual identity hints at how the physical event space and programming will incorporate the “Match” concept, with various activities being developed to help attendees discover indie games that align with their personal tastes and preferences.

BIC 2025 will feature both online and offline components. The online portion runs from August 8-29, while the in-person event will take place at Busan BEXCO from August 15-17, welcoming indie game enthusiasts and developers from around the world.
