Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo Now Available in Malaysia

Nintendo’s latest lifestyle product, the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, is now available in stores at participating retailers across Malaysia starting March 10, 2025. The interactive alarm clock from Nintendo aims to transform morning routines by incorporating elements from popular Nintendo Switch games. Priced at RM529.00, the device features animations, sounds, and characters from fan-favorite Nintendo titles to create a more engaging wake-up experience.

Interactive Wake-Up Experience

The Alarmo functions as more than a standard alarm clock by offering an interactive experience. Users can select from 42 different scenes inspired by Nintendo Switch games, including Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The wake-up sequence follows a gradual progression:

• Before the alarm activates, a character from the selected game waits on screen
• When the alarm begins, gentle sounds from the chosen scene start playing
• A character from the game appears shortly after
• Users can wave their hand or move their body to lower the volume, thanks to built-in motion sensors
• If the user remains in bed, the alarm will become more intense and feature “more persuasive” characters
• The alarm stops completely when the user gets out of bed, followed by a victory fanfare

Nintendo has announced that Alarmo owners can link their Nintendo Account and use the device’s built-in Wi-Fi to download scenes for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe immediately. Additional titles, such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons, will be added through free updates in the future. Other supported games at launch include Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure.

• All-day ambient Nintendo soundscapes and hourly chimes
• Sleep pattern tracking capabilities
• Multiple alarm modes, including “Steady Mode” for gradually intensifying alarms and “Gentle Mode” for a more consistent experience
• Motion-sensing technology for gesture controls, with an optional traditional “Button Mode”
