In a recent year-end interview with Famitsu, key team members—character designer Junko Kawano, director Osamu Komuta, and producer Junichi Murakami—shared updates about the game’s progress and their plans for 2025. The DLC is set to continue the legacy of the late Yoshitaka Murayama’s work on the RPG.

Kawano spoke about the challenges of crowdfunding the game and thanked backers for their continued support. She also confirmed that the DLC is in its final stages, ready for release. Komuta, meanwhile, shared that the last three DLC scenarios written by Murayama are finished and awaiting release. Both Kawano and Komuta apologized for delays in fulfilling backer rewards, acknowledging the frustration among supporters.

Producer Murakami also reflected on the personal and professional challenges of 2024, including the emotional toll of the game’s release and the loss of a close friend. He admitted that not all of his goals were achieved but reaffirmed his commitment to delivering on the promises made to fans. The team is dedicated to honoring Murayama’s vision as they move forward with the DLC.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, a spiritual successor to the Suikoden series, launched in 2024 after a few delays. Developed by a team of Suikoden veterans, the game was highly anticipated by fans of the long-dormant RPG franchise. However, its launch was marred by some platform issues and bugs, which Rabbit & Bear Studios has been addressing through a series of updates.
