The fan-favorite crossover fighting game Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga is set to make its global debut in 2025. Originally launched for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) in 2010, the game will be remastered for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, giving fans of both the Ys and Trails series a chance to experience this dream battle.

Developed by Nihon Falcom and published by refint/games, Alternative Saga brings together iconic characters like Adol Christin, Estelle Bright, Joshua Bright, and Lloyd Bannings for high-speed, action-packed battles. The remaster introduces a new jump mechanic, adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement to the gameplay. Combat will be fast-paced, with thrilling combos and dynamic attacks from characters who showcase their mastery of various crafts.
The game will feature full voice acting, with the original English and Japanese voice cast returning to bring the characters to life. Players will also experience stunning visuals, with HD and 4K support and 60 frames per second for smooth, fluid action. The remaster offers online multiplayer for the first time, alongside the original local multiplayer, allowing players to compete in epic battles with friends or against players worldwide.
In addition to playable characters, the game will feature beloved support characters from Ys and Trails, providing powerful backup during battles. A rich story mode will unfold between fights, deepening the narrative and offering a more immersive experience for fans of both series.
