Nihon Falcom has officially unveiled Ys X: Proud Nordics, a major upgrade to Ys X: Nordics, set for release in 2025 in Japan. This enhanced version will introduce a wealth of exciting new content, including a refreshed story, expanded exploration areas, and various gameplay enhancements.

The adventure unfolds on Aland Island, a massive island located north of Obelia Gulf, where players follow the red-haired adventurer Adol and the pirate princess Karja as they explore the island’s ruins. In the midst of their journey, they battle Griegr, immortal creatures that haunt the land, and encounter a new Mana user, setting them on an even greater adventure.

One of the highlights of Ys X: Proud Nordics is the addition of new gameplay features, such as Mana Actions, alongside the dynamic Cross Actions that combine Adol and Karja’s offensive and defensive combat techniques. The expansive Aland Island map promises vast exploration, while new content like boss battles, Mana Ride races, and arena battles will keep players engaged with challenging foes.

Ys X: Proud Nordics elevates the original Ys X: Nordics with an enhanced story, setting, and gameplay, offering fans an even more thrilling journey. While the platforms for this version have not been confirmed, the announcement has already generated significant excitement.
