Acer has announced new models for the Swift Series laptops, those being the Acer Swift Edge 16 and the Acer Swift Go 14.

Both Acer Swift laptops feature the AMD Ryzen™ 8040 Series processors, with up to AMD Radeon™ 780M Graphics. It is also equipped with Ryzen AI and support for Acer’s AI-powered capabilities such as Acer PurifiedVoice™, Acer PurifiedView, and the new Acer LiveArt photo-editing feature.

Acer Swift Edge 16

The Acer Swift Edge 16 is designed with portability and performance in mind, featuring a magnesium alloy chassis that measures only 1.23kg and 12.95 mm in height.

Acer Swift Edge 16 is equipped with up to AMD Ryzen 7 8840U octa-core processor, integrated with AMD Radeon 780M graphics and AMD Ryzen AI, and also comes with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2TB PCle 4.0 SSD storage.

For display, the laptop features a 16-inch 3.2K OLED panel that has a 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% support for the DCI-P3 color gamut. The less than 0.2 ms response time, and narrow bezels, coupled with the VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 certification add to the capabilities of the display.

Connectivity is also ensured with Wi-Fi 7 compatibility with speeds up to 5.8 Gbps and latencies under 2 ms, alongside a variety of I/O ports for a wide range of peripherals. The laptop also comes protected against cyber threats with its Microsoft Pluton feature.

Acer Swift Go 14

The Acer Swift Go 14 is designed with performance being its highlight, equipped with AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS octa-core processor, AMD Radeon 780M graphics, and Ryzen AI with improved AI performance compared to previous models. Furthermore, the laptop supports up to 32GB LPDDR5X memory and up to 2 TB PCle Gen 4 SSD which compliments the laptop’s AI technology.

For display, the Acer Swift Go 14 has a 14-inch screen with up to a 2.8K OLED display with a 90Kz refresh rate or a touchscreen option on an IPS LCD (1920×1200) panel. The display also provides flexibility with a fully extendable 180-degree hinge and OceanGlass™touchpad.

Aside from these features, the Swift Go 14 is also equipped with 1440p QHD webcam and a 100W battery with quick-charging capabilities.

Connectivity-wise, the laptop has Wi-Fi 6E compatibility, and essential connectivity features such as dual USB Type-C ports that also support USB4, DisplayPort, and USB charging capabilities, an HDMI 2.1 port, Bluetooth 5.3, and a MicroSD card.

Price and Availability

The Acer Swift Edge 16 (SFE16-44) will be available in North America in March, starting at $1,299.99 while the Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-63) will be available in North America in April, starting at $699.99.
