Zoids has been a huge mecha franchise that was created by Takara Tomy (TOMY), a Japan toy company. With their previous release of a new Zoids MOBA game for the mobile, Zoids: Field of Rebellion, that was released in Japan for both iOS and Android, they are now coming up with a new animated series and game for the mobile and Nintendo Switch with the title, Zoids Wild (ゾイドワイルド).
The franchise started out with a small mechanical animal scale model toy back in 1983 by TOMY which was popularized later with multiple spin-off products including anime, manga and games. To celebrate the franchise’s 35th anniversary in 2018, they have announced the new animated series along with two games for the Switch and mobile.
The new TV animated series will be directed by Norihito Suto from the Pokemon series and written by Mitsutaka Hirota who wrote Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS. The show in expected to be aired this coming Summer in Japan.
