Carnival LR Future Gohan and Trunks have made their arrival to Dokkan Battle in Part 2 of the Worldwide Celebration Campaign.
Although not quite what we expected, LR “Indomitable Fighter” Super Saiyan Gohan (Future) and LR “Hope at the End of a Deadly Showdown” Super Saiyan Trunks (Future) are now available on both versions of Dokkan Battle, being obtainable through Legendary Summon Carnival Banners.

“Future Saga” Category Ki +3 and HP, ATK & DEF +200%
Super Attacks
Super Attack – Greatly raises ATK and raise DEF for 1 turn and causes colossal damage to enemy
Ultra Super Attack – Massively raises ATK and greatly raise DEF for 1 turn and causes mega-colossal damage to enemy
Passive Skill
Activates the Entrance Animation upon entry (once only); Ki +5 and reduces damage received by 40% for 5 turns from start of turn; Ki +3 and ATK & DEF +158%; plus an additional Ki +1 (up to +5) and ATK & DEF +20% (up to 100%) with each attack performed.
Reduces damage received by 20%; plus an additional damage reduction of 20% and launches an additional attack that has a high chance of becoming a Super Attack when Ki is 18 or more; launches an additional Super Attack when Ki is 20 or more; creates the Domain “City (Future) (Rainy)” for 5 turns starting from the 5th turn from start of turn; while the Domain “City (Future) (Rainy)” is active, changes INT Ki Spheres to STR Spheres at start of character’s attacking turn and performs a critical hit when activating the Active Skill or when Ki is 24.

Ability Breakdown & Final Thoughts
LR Future Gohan is a Super Class STR Type character with incredible defensive capabilities, being practically unkillable with up to 80% damage reduction. He also has access to built-in additional and critical attacks, massively increasing his offensive capabilities. Moreover, his Domain: “City (Future) (Rainy) causes Extreme Class enemies to take 30% more damage, allowing your entire team to deal more damage.
The only “downside” to this character is that his Domain also increases damage taken by your Extreme Class allies by 30%, but this can easily be played around by not running Extreme Class allies with Gohan.
Although his leader skill is amazing, giving 3 Ki and 200% to stats to Future Saga allies, you’re better off running him on a Future Saga Team led by LR “All-Out Final Battle” Super Saiyan God SS Goku & Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta.
With his versatility in teams, impenetrable defence, and support capabilities, LR Future Gohan is up there as an uncontested Top 3 character in the game, with a strong argument to be #1.
Banner Analysis
Global
This banner features incredible units such as LR “Earth-Shaking Immense Power” Super Saiyan Goku, LR “Destructive Scattershot Strike” Buu (Super), and LR “Infinite Terror” Metal Cooler, all of which are amazing units.
Despite LR Bulma being available on the LR Trunks banner, this banner is still worth your Dragon Stones. However, if you already have LR Bulma, there’s no reason to skip out on this excellent banner.

JP
The LR Future Gohan Banner on JP Dokkan simply outclasses the LR Trunks Banner.
The JP version replaced Carnival LR Super Saiyan Goku with LR “A Soul Pumped Up in Battle” Goku, a much better unit when compared to the latter, making this by far the better banner.
When it comes to Carnival Banners, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Ability Breakdown & Final Thoughts
Although he absolutely cannot be ran in Slot 1, as he needs to build up his damage reduction every turn, LR Future Trunks excels in Slot 2, having abilities that further boost his offensive capabilities and damage reduction in said slot.
His main flaw is that his damage reduction is inconsistent, being reset every turn and having a chance to not fully build up even on the turn, causing him to get caught easily under certain circumstances.
Not too dissimilar to LR Future Gohan, Trunks’s leader skill is amazing, giving 3 Ki and 200% to stats to Time Traveler allies, but you’re better off running him on a team led by LR “All-Out Final Battle” Super Saiyan God SS Goku & Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta to better teammate options.
Despite his flaws, Trunks is still a Top 10 character in the game, being able to put up amazing attack stats and being able to be ran with a lot of top-tier options with these good links.
Banner Analysis
Global
Global players would be ecstatic to hear that LR “A Quest That Makes Wishes Come True” Bulma (Youth) is featured on the banner. Her inclusion on the banner means that LR Trunks would be overshadowed on his debut banner, being reduced to the 2nd prize.
The other featured characters, LR “Extraordinary Super Warrior” Super Saiyan Goku and LR “Dawn of an Ideal World Fusion Zamasu” are also better than the side units of the LR Future Gohan Banner, which makes an excellent case for summoning on this banner instead.
This banner is an absolute must-summon for those who skipped out on LR Bulma on her initial banner, as even the compensation prizes are a brand new Carnival LR and 2 top-tier picks.

JP
LR Bulma is unfortunately missing from the Japanese Version of the banner, instead being replaced by LR “Beyond the Shining Clouds” Gohan (Kid), which is by no means a bad pick, just not nearly as valuable as having the best unit on the banner.
Unfortunately, the exclusion of LR Bulma and the LR Future Gohan Banner having better featured characters means this banner is not worth your Dragon Stones unless you really want Trunks.

Conclusion
Regardless of the version, LR Future Gohan is shaping up to be a must-summon due to his impressive abilities and banners.
As for LR Trunks, it is good idea to summon on Global thanks to the presence of LR Bulma, but he should be avoided by players without stones to spare on JP.
