gamescom asia to Hold CPT Premier Event In Singapore

gamescom asia has announced that this year’s event will also feature a qualifier for the Capcom Pro Tour (CPT) for Street Fighter 6 in Singapore.

Dubbed the CPT Offline Premier, it will run from October 20th to 22nd, and will be held as part of gamescom asia at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Center.

The event’s winner will receive USD15000, while winners will qualify for next year’s Capcom Cup X, which features a 2 million USD prize pool.

Entrants are capped at 1024, and registration can be done via the Start.GG website.

Capcom Singapore had recently announced its participation in gamescom asia, as part of the event’s Entertainment Zone featuring game demos, esports as well as cosplay.

That’s not the only CPT event that Capcom had announced, however- another qualifier event will be held in Europe from November 3rd to November 5th as part of Paris Games Week.

Other previous Offline Premier events include the Evolution Championship Series, better known as EVO, where AngryBird took the win earlier this week.

Street Fighter 6 has had a strong esports presence since its launch in June, with the huge prize pool for Capcom Cup X being a big incentive to draw more players in.

The EVO event had over 7000 players sign up- the highest in the game’s history.
