Project L, the upcoming League of Legends Fighting Game will feature a Duo Battle mode, letting you and your partner control one team of characters.

In a huge news drop for the upcoming title, Riot revealed that the Duo Battle mode would let you choose to have a human partner controlling the assist character- and the ability to tag between them freely.

It’s not like the other player is just going to sit around until they get tagged in- Sajam, one of the content creators who got to try out a build of the game reports that the assist player will also be in charge of the burst, meaning they’ll have to stay focused to break an opponent’s pressure.

Players who’d rather not be weighed down by jolly co-operation can also still choose to play Project L solo, controlling both characters instead and still being able to match with Duo Play teams.

That’s not all Riot showed off, however- they also introduced the Fuse System, which allows you to choose at the start of the match if you’d rather have a single, strong assist or multiple assists per character.

They also confirmed there’d be a playable build of Project L at this year’s EVO, complete with a new character to be shown off for the event.
