vivo has just launched the vivo Y36 5G, the latest addition to the Y series of smartphones. The Y36 5G features a 6.64-inch FHD+ dotch display, and blends in durability and ease of use into an affordable package.

5G Performances and Longer Battery Life

The vivo Y36 5G features the Dimensity 6020, which is the latest flagship 5G chipset from MediaTek. An octo-core, 64-bit processor built on the 7nm process, the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 also packs a pair of Cortex-A76 cores at up to 2.2 GHz, backed by six Cortex-A55 cores.

The Y36 5G also brings better performances of Memory Booster with the support of three core sub-features: Extended RAM 3.0, RAM Saver, and Interface Preserver. The inclusion of vivo Extended RAM 3.0 technology also means that the 8GB of LPDDR4X memory is supplemented with additional virtual memory of 8 GB, which makes for a faster and lag-free experience.

Despite its slim body, Y36 5G packs a 5000 mAh large battery and also features 44W FlashCharge for fast charging. The battery lifespan over time is further enhanced with the vivo Smart Charging Engine, which determines an optimal charging strategy based on whether the screen is on or off, or whether the phone is plugged into a device or charger.

Design and Dotch Display

Y36 5G is the first Y series model to feature a larger 6.64-inch FHD+ (2388 x 1080) LCD display with a subtle dotch design which minimizes interference during viewing. The smartphone also has a 91% screen-to-body ratio and boasts a refresh rate of 60 Hz, a high touch sampling rate, and P3 colour gamut with a maximum brightness of 650 nits.

Coming in Semporna Green and Msytic black, the Y36 5G incorporates a Dual Ring Design that draws inspiration from the twin-lens reflex features from professional photography devices. The phone is also about 8mm thick, and weights at only 190 grams.

HD Imaging System with Atmospheric Portrait

Using the 16MP HD front portrait camera, users can apply unique light effects for any photography needs. Multiple portrait styles are also available for both front and rear cameras. Users can also apply a Face Beauty algorithm which enhances every aspect of the user’s face, brushing up skin tones, and smoothing complexions while beautifying facial features.

The Front Portrait mode offers users multiple levels of the bokeh effect which can be adjusted to make users stand out as the main subject in the photo. Whereas the rear camera supports Super Night Algorithms which use multi-frame denoising to capture details even in the most demanding lighting conditions.

Priced at MYR 1,099, the vivo Y36 5G is available at all vivo concept stores, authorised dealers, vivo Malaysia’s official E-Store and official flagship stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok.

From 13th June till 16th July 2023, customers who purchase the vivo Y36 are entitled to free gifts worth up to MYR 298, including a TWS earbud and a 1-year extended warranty.
