Developer SIEG Games has announced that the Kickstarter campaign for a 5v5 multiplayer mech-based action game titled Project MBR is now live. The game is set to launch on PC via Steam and PlayStation 5 in Spring 2024.

Project MBR will offer a new take on the mech genre by having players pilot massive war machines from a cockpit perspective. Two teams of five operators will need to alternate between tank, flight and turrent forms to defeat their adversaries and fulfill mission objectives set in a futuristic yet believable universe. Additionally, the beta version of the game will launch in July 2023.

SIEG Games promises there won’t be loot boxes or other F2P elements in the final version of the game. Rather, development will be entirely influenced via feedback from the community. The developers are also committed to regularly update battlefields, mechs and other core components to sustain player enjoyment well past the game’s final release.

The Kickstarter campaign for Project MBR aims to raise more than $180K in an effort to bring its vision of mech-sized functional beauty in Unreal Engine 5. Pilots will be able to personalise their robots through weapon customisation before deployong on a battlefield.

Players will need to master each mech form to enhance their versatility and prove their worth. Annihilate enemy bases like radar facilities and fixed artillery while defending your own. Players can also utilise their drone companion for reconnaissance and intel before making life-or-death decisions.
