Bandai Namco has announced that the online mobile game Mobile Suit Gundam Area Wars will shut down its service in March 2023.
The termination notice comes from their official website and in it mentions that the game will ends its services on March 30th, 2023.
Mobile Gundam Area Wars is an online mobile RPG with turn-based combat where you command your gundam on a hexagonal grid. The game features both PvE and PvP gameplay with over 500 mobile suits for you to collect via gacha.
Via Appmagic, the game has garnered over 70 million USD in terms of revenue and peaked during the first year of its launch, gaining over 2 million USD in two months. The game unfortunately has seen a decline two years later and never got up afterwards.
To recap, Mobile Suit Gundam Area Wars is an online mobile RPG released on mobile for both Android and iOS. The game was released for Japan back in 2014 and over the 11 years since it was released, it unfortunately never got released globally.
