TiMi Studio Group and Capcom have announced that they are joining forces to develop a new mobile game for the Monster Hunter series.

They say that the in-development game will reproduce the hunting actions that define the Monster Hunter series, and offer players a new game experience unique for mobile devices and phones.

This first-time partnership between TiMi and Capcom will combine the experience and strengths of both sides, allowing Monster Hunter to scale to more platforms with an aim to give global hunters, experienced or new, the freedom to hunt as they desire, anytime and anywhere.

TiMi Studio has past experience in adapting big AAA franchises to mobile devices, having worked on Call of Duty Mobile as well as Pokemon Unite.

This isn’t the first time that the Monster Hunter series has crossed over to mobile devices. The spin-off RPG Monster Hunter Stories was ported to iOS and Android devices just over a year after it was originally launched for the 3DS in 2016.

There was also a fighting game spin-off called Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting released for mobile devices in 2011. The game has players take on a number of monsters from the console games in one on one fights however it has since been taken down from the app stores.

There is currently no information on when we can expect the new TiMi-developed Monster Hunter title to be fully revealed but we will likely see more of it as 2023 rolls around.
